Cast Iron Globe Valves

Shut-off valves for steam and high temperature applications have a rising rotary stem and handwheel. The offered cast iron globe valves are recommended for commercial and industrial applications including hot and cold water, HVAC, steam, compressed air, gas, and other general utility services. The globe valve is recommended for throttling or regulating flow. The globe valve has a body made of cast iron and a stainless steel seat. 

This cast iron globe valve is used for throttling flow control. Closure is achieved by flowing the valve flap against it rather than through it as in a gate valve. The flow pattern of steam through a cast iron globe valve involves a change in direction, resulting in greater resistance to flow, leading to a high pressure drop.

Cast iron globe valves are typically used in applications such as heating, water distribution and water with minimum and maximum temperatures between - 10°C and + 300°C.
