Brass Gate Valves

Brass gate valves are designed for full open or full close service. They are installed in piping as isolation valves and should not be used as a control or regulating valves. Gate valve operation performs a clockwise close (CTC) or clockwise open (CTO) rotational movement of the stem. When the stem is operated, the gate moves up or down on the threaded portion of the stem.

Brass gate valves, also known as gate valves, are opened and closed by manipulating a wedge or gate. These valves can help control the flow of non-shock cold water, oil or gas, and Compressed Air Systems can provide you with these basic products.
Our gate valves are rated up to 200 psi and range in size from ¼" to 4". These valves are made of durable solid brass and have an iron handwheel that is not designed to carefully regulate flow, but it makes it simple to fully open and close the line.

Control water flow by installing a gate valve

You can install a gate valve or gate valve to completely stop the flow of water in a pipeline. The function of this pipeline valve is to place a physical barrier in the way the fluid flows in the pipeline. Turning the knob releases the physical barrier. When fully open, it essentially does not impede the flow of water in the pipeline. Gate valves are often found to be most useful in larger diameter pipelines because they can work efficiently and are easier to install than other types of valves. Gate valves are often preferable when the goal is to completely stop the flow of water rather than regulate it.
