Carbon Steel Globe Valves

The carbon steel globe valve is constructed with a steel body and features a variety of valve internals and seal options. Flanged connections are available to a variety of standards, including DIN, EN, ANSI, and BS4504, and most globe valves are available with screw lift (SL) and screw check (SDNR) options.

Carbon steel globe valves are recommended for throttling or regulating flow. The closure is achieved by allowing the valve flap to flow against the flow rather than through it as in a gate valve. The change in direction involved in the flow pattern through carbon steel results in greater resistance to flow, leading to a high-pressure drop.

Carbon steel globe valves are suitable for conduction and choke passage of aqueous media, oil, and gas.
